A disaster preparedness video series that aims to raise awareness and equip grassroots
communities with knowledge and life-saving skills. It is packed not only with valuable information
on disaster preparedness but also with actual rescue demonstrations for emergencies occurring during
typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and accidents. This video series is hosted by Dr. Ted Esguerra, an
operational medicine instructor at the International Disaster Response Network, who shares his
experience and expertise in the field of rescue operation.
Cebuana Alerto is produced and sponsored by Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc., which has been
advocating disaster preparedness and resilience for many years already. At this point in the history
of mankind, where calamities and accidents are more severe and frequent, we believe in CLFI that it
is our responsibility to share knowledge and skills so that everyone would be prepared, equipped,
and alert.

organizations, to exchange knowledge, innovations, and solutions to enhance preparedness and
strengthen disaster management and recovery efforts.
On October 13, 2022, celebrating the United Nations General Assembly's International Day for
Disaster Risk Reduction, over 50,000 delegates participated in the BRX Digital Conference, which was
streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. The theme of the two-day online forum was, "Ang Handang
Barangay, Mahusay.” (An Always Prepared Barangay is an Excellent Barangay.)
On September 8, 2023, BRX had another online conference with the theme, “Maghanda at Magtulungan
Para sa Kaligtasan.” During the conference, CLFI launched three new episodes of Cebuana Alerto, a
digital show which educates and empowers Filipinos how to handle disasters like floods, typhoons,
earthquakes, as well as first aid in handling accidents and emergency situations.

Science and Technology (DOST) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), as advocacy partners.
