Officials from the Department of Education in Misamis Occidental warmly welcomed the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation team headed by its Executive Director, Jonathan Batangan, at the inauguration of the ALS Center in Looc Central School in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental.

This is the 136th ALS center that CLFI is supporting by providing the ALS learners with learning tools.
The DepEd team was composed of Misamis Occidental School Governance and Operations Division Chief Dr. Samuel Salican, Education Program Specialists Fernan Lanzaderas and FreizieHazil Naranjo, Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Nelia Lanzaderas, Looc Central Central School Principal Rosita Dela Cruz and ALS teacher Elmer Baid.

After the successful turnover rites, Cebuana Lhuillier Area Head Haidee Jane Arguillo-Alfeche accompanied Batangan in paying a courtesy visit to Plaridel, Misamis Occidental Mayor Gadwin E. Handumon. The latter was keen to collaborate with CLFI in various financial literacy and disaster resilience programs to help his constituents.
