Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation (CLFI) and the Municipality of Itogon, Benguet, recently came together in a significant partnership, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Sitio Labilab Elementary School in Barangay Loacan, Itogon Benguet.
This event signals a new chapter of teamwork aimed at empowering locals and driving progress. The MOU represents a joint commitment between CLFI and the local government to introduce innovative community development programs, with a focus on financial literacy and inclusion. The presence of key representatives from both CLFI and the Municipality highlights the strong dedication to this important cause.
Among the dignitaries were Jonathan Batangan, Executive Director of CLFI, accompanied by Jo-Ann Tacorda, Chief Administrative Officer of PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies, and Rhodora Gella, PCR Department Head of CLFI, alongside esteemed representatives from the municipality, led by Bernard Waclin, Mayor of Itogon Benguet. Also in attendance were Loacan Barangay Captain Franklin Almoza, Municipal Councilor Clint Galutan, and Sitio Representative Andres Cuyan.
Their joint commitment resonated through the ceremonial rituals, blending formal agreements with vibrant local culture, as participants engaged in traditional dances symbolizing unity and heritage.
CLFI’s dedication to holistic development was further demonstrated by providing ICT equipment to the municipality’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners.
Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers (CLIB) also provided ProtectMax Insurance to their ALS learners and teachers.
This initiative underscores CLFI’s holistic approach to education, ensuring learners receive academic resources and vital insurance coverage, fostering resilience and growth.
