Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation continues to give its solid support to the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program of the Department of Education with the recent inauguration of its 110th supported ALS Community Learning Center in Brgy. Nalil, Bongao, Tawi-tawi.
DepEd ALS Supervisor Surayni Tandi expressed her utmost gratitude to CLFI, on behalf of DepEd Tawi-tawi Superintendent Dr. Lermalyn Tidal for the donated teaching equipment which greatly helps ALS teachers in augmenting their ALS implementation needs.
We couldn’t ask for more. Kayo ang kasagutan sa aming mga dasal,” Ms. Tandi announced during the inuguration last February 15, 2023.
CLFI Executive Director Jonathan Batangan and his team flew all the way from Manila to grace the inauguration rites. In his message, he recognized the dedication of ALS Supervisor Surayni Tandi in leading her ALS team to provide quality education to the learners despite their challenges in the program implementation due to lack of resources and facilities.
Cebuana Lhuillier’s Corporate Services Group Head Jo-Ann Tacorda also attended the event and encouraged the learners to give their best in their studies and assured them of job opportunities in PJLI Group once they are ready to enter the workforce.
“Pagbutihan ninyo sa inyong pag-aaral, at kung pangarap ninyong maging isang ka-Cebuana, buong puso namin kayong tatanggapin,” Tacorda said.
Tawi-tawi City councilors Midzfar Pajiji and Mon Samsuya represented Mayor Jimuel Que in the inaugural event. They challenged the learners to give their best in their ALS journey and to be thankful for the help they are receiving especially from private partners like CLFI.
