Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation inaugurated its 113th Alternative Learning System (ALS) center at Bahay Pag-asa, a rehabilitation center for children in conflict with the law, in Malabon.
ย
This is the fourth jail-based ALS center that CLFI is supporting, in addition to the ALS centers they helped establish at the Muntinlupa City Jail in Paraรฑaque City, Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, Manila City Jail and the Quezon City Jail Male Dorm.
With inclusive education as one of its pillar advocacies, CLFI has been supporting the ALS program of the Department of Education since 2013. CLFI has so far provided Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment to 115 ALS learning centers all over the country.
ALS centers are strategically established in locations like Bahay Pag-asa to provide “second-chance education” to out-of-school youth and adults.

ALS is our top priority, because inclusivity is one of the pillar advocacies of the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation.โ€ย — Jo-Ann Tacorda, Corporate Services Group Head, Cebuana Lhuillier

โ€ โ€“ Josephine Veronique Lacson-Noel, District Representative of Malabon City

“I commend Cebuana Lhuillier for promoting the value of Corporate Social Responsibility through Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation. I hope that many companies will follow your example in sharing your blessings to those in needโ€ฆ Salamat sa pakikiisa sa amin na naniniwala na sa Bahay Pag-Asa, ang mga kabataang narito ay may pag-asang magkaroon ng mas magandang kinabukasan.” โ€“ Jeannie Sandoval, Mayor of Malabon

In behalf of the Bahay Pag-Asa, we promise to take care of your donations and to do our part in giving our learners here a quality education as their key to better future.” Dr. Josefina Pablo, Chief Curriculum Implementation Division, DepEd
