The CLFI team recently visited the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Quezon City, a 24-hour residential care facility that serves as a temporary home for children aged 0 to 6 years old who are victims of abuse and abandonment, violence, exploitation, neglect, and discrimination. 

RSCC is managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the National Capital Region. Though all of the children’s basic needs are provided by the government, they also welcome material donations from private individuals and organizations like the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation. 

RSCC is one of the institutions where CLFI regularly conducts outreach activities by granting the wish list of the children like basic essentials, groceries, toys, etc.

CLFI believes in inclusivity. No child should be left behind.

“Kami po ay nagpapasalamat dahil sa pamamagitan po ng tulong nila ay nadadagdagan yung aming kakayanan na matulungan po ang mga batang kagaya nila,” says Carol Lara, social welfare officer of DSWD-RSCC.

Julia Binay-O, social worker of DSWD-RSCC, adds:

“Lubos po kaming nagpapasalamat sa pagbibigay po ng tulong and donasyon base po sa wishlist ng ating mga bata. Mula doon po ay nararamdaman ng mga bata ang pagki-care sa kanila mula sa Cebuana Foundation.”
