The Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation team ended their Mindanao ALS Caravan in Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City, with the launch of the ALS Learning Center in Bugo Central School.
True to its advocacy of promoting inclusive education, CLFI supports Bugo Central School which caters to ALS learners who are undergoing drug treatment and rehabilitation.
CLFI Executive Director Jonathan Batangan together with PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies Chief Administrative Officer Jo-Ann Tacorda and Cebuana Lhuillier Area Head for CDO Jezel Ancero, led the inauguration of the said center as CLFI’s 137th supported ALS center in the country.
After the turnover ceremony, the team paid a courtesy visit to Bugo, Cagayan De Oro Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy at the City Hall with the presence of his Chief of Staff Sheila Lumbatan and Department Head for Information Communication Technology and Innovation Zelfred Anthony Cocon.
The Department of Education team was composed of CDO ALS Cluster 1 Head and Education Program Specialist for ALS Dr. Janry B. Colonia, BCS Officer-in-charge Gresenia Rafols, and ALS teachers Rubeneth Salazar, Jovelyn Go, and Lovelen Gemo.
